Shalimar Paints Limited announces Qualified Institutional Placement
Shalimar Paints notified both NSE and BSE of its intent to undertake a QIP on 13 August 2026. As a listed paint company, the QIP will be subject to SEBI's Institutional Placement Framework and requires board approval of the issue size, offer price band and timeline. The offer will be open only to Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) including mutual funds, FIIs, insurance companies and eligible banks, ensuring a broad institutional cap table.
Why it mattersQIP under Chapter VIII of SEBI ICDR Regulations permits accelerated capital raising from qualified investors without shareholder approval; counsel must verify pricing mechanism (floor or fixed), post-allotment lock-in (1 year minimum), and continuous disclosure obligations during offer period.
